Violent Video Games: Beneficial?
http://silverunderground.com/2013/01/video-games-lead-to-cosplay-not-violence/
According to researchers in Australia, violence in video games are actually seen as more of a healthy stress reliever and social engagement tool. Had a bad day? Need some stress relief? Play zombies and see how many undead beings you can kill. Hijack a vehicle on grand theft auto 5 or hit some people like an opposing QB on Madden 25. Furthermore, gaming also can promote "a sense of community". Ever feel a sense of companionship with others posting about a game you really like. For example, a hardcore COD gamer may feel at home on a gaming blog or on a COD Facebook page. The conclusions made are that violence in moderation on a TV screen is a good thing. But like with anything, "with great power comes great responsibility.

Grand Theft Auto V: Its getting Crazy
Craziness, Chaos, Organized Crime, Bongs, and Sex are all the defining characteristics of the new Grand Theft Auto V. Although controversial, the popularity of this game has made the harmful visualizations and behaviors negligible. Money talks, and the amount of money this new game will bring in is unpredictably high. Rated Most Offensive game of the year the game will likely sell over 125 million copies. Why are games like this part of the modern culture? Escapism is likely the culprit. Everyone wants to do what they can't. For example, do not touch the cookie jar. First thing a person thinks of is how to get into that cookie jar. Human nature tells us to buy this game and do all of the things we know we are not supposed to.
Need a break from reality? Turn to a video game like Grand Theft Auto V.
