My Fantasy Team

Here is a guide to creating your fantasy and/or franchise team. First I will discuss the rules by which one selects their team during a draft and then I will show you what my fantasy team looks like this season.

1. Look at who is available, if Aaron Rodgers, Peyton Manning, or Adrian Peterson is available go after them from the get go. Remember if you do not like them you can always trade 1 great guy to get 2 good guys and balance out your team. Or sometimes there are die hard fans out there that will trade ridiculously to get their favorite players.

2. Invest time in searching for sleepers that will be available in the later rounds; Ed Dickson, Cecil Shorts, Eddie Lacy, Robert Woods, Daryl Richardson, Dwayne Bowe, Desean Jackson, Anquian Boldin, etc...

3. Know your competition, after the draft take advantage of the ones that do not do a lot of research in football. For example trade someone "great" with a torn ACL for a good player and you are one cruel step closer to victory.

4. USE THE PROJECTION MODE, BUT ALSO LOOK AT THE STATS FROM LAST YEAR. The farther apart the totals, the more of a risk the pickup becomes.

QB- Peyton Manning - One of the most consistent quarterbacks in the league next to Tom Brady, Drew Brees, and Aaron Rogers. But why Manning? What Makes him different? Look at the defenses. Broncos have one of the best defenses in the league = more time the offense has the ball

RB- CJ Spiller - Look at his college film if you have any doubt in this speedy back. Last year he split carries with Fred Jackson and received an absurd amount of yardage. This year they are willing to run him every down "until he pukes". If CJ is on your fantasy team, you have a leg up on the competition.

RB - DeMarco Murray - DeMarco Murray is "one of the most violent backs in the league". In other words, this guy will fight for his right to get to the end zone. (This guy will get you fantasy points). But he is a risk. But what starting back isn't a risk. Trent Richardson and Adrian Peterson if available should be picked up. But Murray is a sleeper in the Fantasy Draft and an awesome acquisition for Madden 13 Franchise mode.

WR - Jordy Nelson - Aaron Rogers, Jordy Nelson, they get you fantasy points, nough said. Jordy Nelson may not be the go to end zone guy, but he is consistency in a nutshell. Another sleeper, be ready to pick him up on draft day or start him on a franchise.

WR - Cecil Shorts - Cecil Shorts is the leading wide receiver for the jaguars. This kid is good. Chances are he will be available later in the draft. With Blackmon on suspension for the first 4 games, Shorts is a huge sleeper in the fantasy game and a nice asset for franchise players on Madden 13.

W/R - Reggie Bush - Reggie Bush is an awesome asset to have in that he can catch, run, and is agile. Its a triple fantasy threat. With Calvin Johnson taking the double coverage, Reggie Bush will be the one with the TDs.

TE - Kyle Rudolph or Tony Gonzalez - Want consistency go with Gonzalez - wanna gamble a little go with Rudolph. Why do I say this? Rudolph is an upcoming king of TEs in the NFL. So whats the problem? Ponder this, what good is a TE without a QB. You decide, risk for reward or consistency for security.
