With the revealing of the Xbox one and PS4, and WiiU a pattern of lack of revolutionary advancements has led many to question the ability of our nation to continue to lead the world in the realm of gaming. Many aspects of the consoles are getting highly repetitive. Disappointment is not only found in the video gaming world. I'd like to coin the term the "Apple Effect" where a the bar of progression is raised to a level that only results in disappointment over the course of the next decade. The Apple Effect is now being experience in video games such as Madden, other sports games, COD, shooting games, and other video game chains.
